Greek Night

Even without the olives, greek night was a great success.   Everything turned out perfectly, and we all ate until our stomaches were comfortably distended.  My additions were Pasticcio and taramosalata, a greek lasagna and a fish egg spread (which was so much better than it sounds).  We did flaming cheese and salad and spanakopita and had roasted potatoes and egg lemon soup…and of course the desserts, flaky, buttery pastry made by lovely greek woman from the store we went to last week.  We drank Retsina and Roditis wines and ouzo.  It was love for the palate.  Sadly, I didn’t get any photo’s of the main dish because we were too intent on consumption at that moment.  Let me assure you it was perfect.  Good food, good friends, good wine…perfect.
